Position: Social Entrepreneurship

Hi I’m Brandon Dobro and I’m looking forward to heading a new committee within CEO based solely around social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is a relatively new, but rapidly growing field. Simply put, social entrepreneurs want to change the world. They are passionate a specific social issue and refuse to stop until they have turned the issue on its head. In other words, social entrepreneurs are not content with giving someone a fish or teaching them to fish, but will not stop until the fishing industry is completely revolutionized. Knowing full-well that my time is precious and limited, I hope to have an ounce of the drive and heart of social entrepreneurs.
Specifically, my goals this year are to leverage the assets of CEO to work with Social Venture Partners of Rhode Island (SVPRI) to run the one of the largest social entrepreneurship conferences in the country this fall and create a volunteering initiative that will impact our community and give Bryant a taste of social entrepreneurship in action.
