03 Nov Nationals Recap & T-Shirt Design
On Thursday, November 3rd, CEO general meetings picked up on its regular meeting schedule following the return of the E-Board, along with five general members, from their trip to the annual CEO National Conference in Tampa, Florida. The CEO chapter here at Bryant University competed for Best Chapter, where the team can proudly say that they took home a top three finish, competing with over 200 other chapters from colleges and universities across the United States.
At the meeting, each member of the E-Board presented a breakout session they attended while at the conference that they were able to get the most out of. One of these breakout sessions promoted your “Twit-Pitch,” a variation of an “E-Pitch, which emphasizes being short and sweet with your presentation which can lead to more opportunities to create lasting relationships with potential investors. Another breakout session emphasized the importance of finding your passions, and what you can do with your unique skill set. Send a text to your friends, family, colleagues, and ask them what you do well, what you make look easy. Then you can use that insight to really narrow down your path in life, and how you can make that happen today. These are the kinds of lessons you will not find in any classroom, taught by any professor, except maybe here at Bryant.
In addition to the E-Board reflecting on their CEO Nationals experience, general members were given the task of designing a new CEO t-shirt and even help to improve the organization’s current slogan, “We’re not partying, we’re networking.” There were many creative designs that were drawn out, which will certainly not make it an easy decision for the E-Board to choose just one, so stay tuned for the unveiling of the new CEO t-shirt, and potentially a new and improved slogan!
